Mens sana in corpore sano
Dear sports enthusiasts,
The nightlife during your student years is fantastic, so fantastic that your cathedral of a body might start showing a few signs of wear and tear. This is where we, as sports presidents, will step in to ensure that your summer body remains intact by the time the resits come around.
A highly diverse range of sports will be featured, offering both casual participants and fierce competitors a chance to burn off some energy during the Interfaculty Championship (IFK). In the IFK, we, as the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, will go head-to-head with the other faculties. The sports include: (mini)football, volleyball, basketball, swimming, hockey, badminton, judo, and more.
Will you help us reach the finals?
In addition to representing our faculty, we will also organize some exciting (drink) activities for you. Fancy joining us for paintball, beer pong, go-karting, troela kubb, and more? Then be sure to keep an eye on our website and Facebook page!
With our team, we’ll ensure everything runs smoothly. Whether you're someone who likes to actively participate in sports or prefers to cheer from the sidelines, with green and white, you’re in the right place to help lead our team to victory!

Interfaculty Championship (IFK)
The Interfaculty Championship, or IFK, is the ultimate competition, spread over the entire academic year. Broadly speaking, the various sports, competitions, and tournaments included in the IFK can be divided into three categories:
1) Team sports
2) Individual sports
3) The major events
There are three major events: the Interfaculty Tournament, the Swimming Marathon, and the 12-hour run.

Most of the organized sports are, of course, team sports for which each student association can sign up.
These sports include (mini)football, volleyball, and basketball. Depending on the number of teams registered, the point system varies, and the competition is either played in a knockout format or with group stages leading up to the final. Last year, VEK made it far in both football and volleyball. This year, we'll be fighting for the trophies.
IFK
Here, we're talking about the individual sports, which also contribute to the overall points ranking.
These sports include judo, running, badminton, table tennis, and swimming.
Big events!
Monday, November 4th is THE sports tournament of the year for students, so be sure to mark this date in your calendar. Throughout the day, the FK associations will compete against each other in various sports, with prizes awarded for each sport. The tournament will take place in and around the GUSB facilities. The organized sports include football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, a water sports track run, swimming, and the praesidium championship.
Last year, VEK finished in fourth place, but this year our ambition is to reclaim our spot on the podium.
The 12-hour run will take place this year on Tuesday, April 29th. All teams will have twelve hours to complete as many laps as possible around Sint-Pietersplein. Alongside the race, there will be plenty of side activities and a DJ booth for those less inclined to participate in sports. We have a strong reputation to uphold here as well. Last year, we finished fifth, but this time we’re putting VLK and VGK in their place—the podium is reserved for VEK.
Feel free to stop by, soak up the atmosphere, run a lap, and enjoy a drink with us in the tent.
The Swimming Marathon will take place this year on November 27th. The various registered student associations will compete in a three-hour swimming competition. The goal is for your association to swim as many laps as possible within this time frame. This event will be held at the GUSB.
Party Padel Tournament
This year, the second edition of the Party Padel Tournament will take place on March 6th at the Garrincha courts.
Not in the mood to play? No problem! Come cheer from the sidelines and dance to our beats well into the night!
